Passenger Service Agent - London Stansted - Opportunity to work as a Customer Service Agent (Check in) for a major ground handling company based at London Stansted Airport.
The Role
This is a varied Customer focussed position where you will be assisting passengers every step of the way from their first arrival at Stansted. You will help move queues along, answer a variety of queries and questions, check Passports, Visas and tickets, check-in, weigh and tag baggage. You are Customers' first contact with their chosen airline and your quality attitude and helpful approach will need to reflect this.
Working at the boarding gate assisting passengers with the boarding process. You may have to announce delays and departures and help late arriving passengers; accompany disabled passengers or children travelling alone.
At the boarding gate you will be reading passenger announcements, checking passports, visas and boarding passes, ensuring passengers enter the aircraft safely and on time, working within tight time constraints.
Candidate
- Candidates will understand and be able to delivery superb customer service and will have good communication skills, able to deal with people at all levels.
- This is a role that can be very hectic and stressful so candidates also need to comfortable working under pressure.
Hours
- This role will be based on a fixed term contract at a rate of £7.76per hour.
- Shifts will involve earlys, lates and weekends.
- Examples of early shifts will be 0400 - 0900, and lates will be 1800 - 2300.
- The shift pattern is likely to be 5 on, 3 off but this may vary. This is a 21 hour per week contract.
At the end of the contract there may be opportunities to join the permanent staff payroll.
Candidates will have two weeks of full time training, before "going live" onto shift.
Full five year employment / education reference checks and a Criminal Record Check will be carried out prior to commencement of employment.
