Travel Consultant – Tailor made – Far East/Australia Team – London City - £18000-£22000

The Company

My client, based in Central London, are a well established Tour Operator. They are a fully bonded tour operator and airline consolidator offering tailor made holidays, discounted flights and independent travel arrangements to the USA, Canada, the Far East, Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, the Caribbean, Dubai and round the world.

The Role

My client is looking for Travel consultants to join their busy and vibrant Far East/Australia team. You will be involved in the following daily tasks:

  • Handling incoming telephone calls from customers and clients
  • Quoting various tailor made itineraries in the Far East and Australia
  • Processing bookings and payments
  • Building rapport and relationships with new and existing customers and clients
  • Booking and quoting using a GDS reservations system
  • Offering ancillary products to new and existing bookings

The candidate

We are looking for people with the right sales attitude and a strong passion for travel. Ideally would have worked in a very similar tailor made role in travel, and/or have travelled extensively. Must have a good knowledge of the Travel industry

Minimum experiences

  • Use of a GDS system, ideally Galileo
  • A travel sales background
  • A strong passion for sales and Travel

Hours and salary

My client will offer a salary of £18000 - £22000 depending on experience. They also offer an excellent commission structure. On target earnings of £30k plus if targets are met.

Full time hours, 37.5 per week. Monday to Friday, 0830 – 2100, Saturdays 0900 – 1800 and Sundays/Bank Holidays – 1000 – 1800.
